I’ve come to the realization that I’ve always been on a quest to find happiness. I never took specific steps to find it, but the mere act of doing the things that make you happy is a step in the right direction.
I’ve always wanted to be a musician. The demanding need to make money to guarantee my survival has been a major distraction. Whenever there was a choice - do what I love with little financial compensation OR pay the rent - I went after the dollar.
After 20+ years of hard work teaching, doing administrative/secretarial jobs, being a housekeeper, typist, drug counselor, small business owner, office temp… I landed a job touring with the musical Hair. It changed my life. Among other things, I realized for the first time in my life, I could really make a living as a performing artist.
The life led me from one country to another – Germany, Holland, Austria, Belgium, Spain, Italy, Norway, Switzerland… I returned to my birth place, New York City 23 years later to retire. I quickly realized it was no longer the place for me.
Having spent time exploring various religions, I eventually discovered Buddhism with its diverse traditions, philosophies and practices. It helped me realize my quest should be for peace and happiness and nothing else. I started letting go of all things painful, disappointing and ugly and started focusing on meditation and chanting to help me find my spirituality. Eventually, I also let go of Buddhism because of my lack of commitment to organized religion. However, my quest to understanding spiritualism and connecting with my soul has me on a beautiful, never ending journey.
When I started to let go I met Rey who taught me how to talk to the universe and accept its abundance. Together we are experiencing the jungles of Mexico on many levels. Exploring our creativity, making music, making friends and communicating with spiritual beings from all over the world has been our reward.
I can’t begin to tell you how happy I am that we landed in Magical Mystical Mismaloya. There is so much here that leads directly to happiness and success. Maybe it’s the Ley lines that traverse this part of the country and demarcate the earth’s energies that facilitate my transformation.
We are creating “Jazz in the Jungle” in an environment where you can get in touch with your spirituality and touch your inner soul. We are looking forward to visits from our subscribers. We have marvelous adventures to share with you. You will return home with new energy and a new outlook on life OR you will be captured by the jungle and never leave!

“Ley lines are invisible lines of energy that connect the earth’s sacred places with each other. They are lines of naturally occurring fields of magnetic force, or mystical veins of power, that run across land or water and lead from one point, or vortex, to the next like thousands of fiber optic streams. They spread out like a spider web connecting them in a vast network of pulsing, subtle power that geometrically links holy places worldwide. This attribute has the ability to amplify specific areas of the world. It is said that even people not in tune with Ley lines can feel their power, a notion that explains why holy places remain holy – they “feel” sacred.”Quoted from “All Our Pieces” - A SOUL SEEKING PODCAST by Bella Cummins & Sky Gerlowski https://www.mydeztination.com/new-blog/allourpieces
